Device Info HW is a comprehensive app for Android devices that provides hardware and software information. The app detects the components of your smartphone, such as LCD, touchscreen, cameras, sensors, memory, flash, audio, NFC, charger, Wi-Fi, and battery. The detection is supported for most devices.

This app is particularly useful for users and developers who build kernels or Android applications. It offers a quick navigation system and a fresh design. The app also supports a dark/black theme, which is available in the PRO version or during the first two weeks of the free version.

You can switch between tabs or use the navigation panel to access different sections. Many items within the app are clickable, allowing you to easily navigate between different tabs or menus.

It's important to note that on some recent devices, certain information may be blocked. However, the app strives to provide as much information as possible. If you have root access on your device, the app can read even more detailed information (this feature can be enabled in the settings).

Components

• LCD: Provides information about the model of your LCD screen. Please note that root access may be required for recent Android versions. You can also check the colors of your LCD screen using the built-in LCD test.
• Touchscreen: Shows the model of your touchscreen. Additionally, you can perform a multi-touch test to see how many fingers are supported.
• Camera: Provides both hardware and software information about your device's camera(s). If the camera model cannot be detected, a list of supported cameras may be available.

Detailed SoC Information

• CPU: Displays information about the CPU, including model, cores, clusters, family, ABI, governor, and frequency. You can also click on the clock speed to open the CPU monitor.
• GPU: Provides details about the GPU, including model, vendor, OpenGL version, frequency, and a list of supported extensions.

The app also provides complete information about your device's firmware build under the "System" section.

Other sections in the app include "Memory" (which displays the type and operating frequency of your device's RAM), "Flash" (which shows information about the chip and vendor of your device's storage), "Battery" (which provides basic information about your device's battery as well as additional details for some devices), "Thermal" (which displays temperature readings from thermal sensors), "Sensors" (which shows the availability of basic sensors and allows you to perform tests), "Applications" (which allows you to quickly find and view information about installed apps), "Drivers" (which lists other chips used in your device), "Partitions" (which displays a list of partitions and their sizes), "PMIC" (which lists power regulator voltages applied to components), "Wi-Fi" (which provides information about your Wi-Fi connection), "Bluetooth" (which displays supported features), "Input devices" (which lists connected input devices), "Codecs" (which shows decoders and encoders as well as DRM information), and "USB" (which displays connected USB devices via OTG).

• Open engineering menu for MTK and Xiaomi devices
• List of CPU codenames for Qualcomm, MTK, and HiSilicon

The app also features a devices database where you can find information for other devices, compare specifications, and check for similar drivers. The database is available on the web page deviceinfohw.ru. You can also upload your device's information to the database using the Info Center.

In addition to the free version, there is a PRO version of the app that offers additional features:

• Theme: The PRO version supports all light, dark, and black themes. In the free version, the black theme is available for a two-week trial period.
• Report: You can create a report containing information about your device and save it in HTML or PDF format. The report can be opened or shared via email using the share button. An example report can be found at deviceinfohw.ru/data/report_example.html.
• Copy text: This feature allows you to copy text from info lists by performing a long press.
• New design of battery tab: The battery tab in the PRO version features a charge/discharge chart for more insightful battery monitoring.
• Device list: This section provides a list of i2c and SPI devices connected to your device. It is particularly useful when there are multiple chips or if they are uncategorized.

This app also supports ongoing development to continuously improve its functionality.

Please note that not all devices may be able to read driver information. This depends on the system-on-chip (SoC) and vendor. If you encounter any issues or want to contribute to improving the app, you can contact the developer via email or on the forum.

Permissions:

• INTERNET: Required for uploading device information to the database. Only used for manual upload.
• CAMERA: Required for obtaining camera software characteristics using the old camera API.
• ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Required for retrieving information about Wi-Fi connections.
